Company Overview
Dock Robotics is developing robotic and digital tools that make industrial facilities smarter, safer, and more cost-effective. Our work addresses the limits of traditional monitoring methods, which are often static, resource-intensive, or unable to deliver the level of visibility modern industries demand.
Founded in 2021 at the @TheDock technology campus in Hull, UK, Dock Robotics began with a clear vision: combine advanced robotics with analytics to provide reliable, high-quality data solutions for industrial teams. Since then, we have been advancing complementary products that together support this mission.
Our Explorer robot is a under development to autonomously map environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, gas levels, dust, and particulates. By building precise digital twin datasets, Explorer will give operators the insights they need to reduce downtime, improve efficiency, and strengthen safety strategies. Importantly, this technology is still in progress, and we are working with partners to bring it to demonstration and deployment stages.
Alongside Explorer, Dock Robotics has developed Drive, a mobile app that enables seamless teleoperation of ROS-based robots from anywhere. Drive is already available to the robotics community. It lowers barriers to remote control and data collection, and it reflects our belief that enabling practical, operator-friendly tools is just as important as the robots themselves.
In addition, our roadmap includes further digital solutions, such as lightweight IoT monitoring devices, which will extend our approach to industrial sensing and analytics. Together, these tools create a flexible ecosystem that grows with customer needs.
The mission of Dock Robotics is simple: create accessible robotic and digital tools that help industrial teams gain clearer insights, act earlier, and operate with greater confidence. Our work is ongoing, but our direction is constant – empowering industries worldwide with smarter, more dependable data.
